Happy Christmas!
Dec. 24th, 2007 06:51 pmSeasons drinkings greetings! I am full of Christmas spirits this year. From a pre-cooking drink (Bombay Sapphire) to dinner sparkling wine with a during-cooking drink of eggnog with plenty of Bourbon.
BTW: Alton Brown's eggnog recipe? Total win. OMG! So good. Amazing how much better it is from store-bought. Speaking of things that are better homemade than store-bought: the homemade marshmallows I made (also Alton's recipe) are delish. Too bad they're not quite set yet and I can't take them out and gorge on them. Also, must save three whole cups for tomorrow's ambrosia salad. *pout*
Had Christmas Eve dinner this year as we're going to a friend of Mum's for T-bone steaks. Yum!!! Tonight's dinner was blissfully simple for us. Ham, hog rotten* potatoes, green beans, and relish tray. Simple but good, so that's all that counts.
Must go set up treats for tonight and make sure everything's all set for Santa to come. He comes to the best kids first, so he always comes early Xmas Eve.

*hog rotten is my family's way of say au gratin.
