Lair of the Social Leper

Anyway, I ran out of new TWW episodes. After rewatching all the episodes I had at home at least twice, I decided to rewatch the bestest show ever.

My god, I'd forgotten how good it is. Like really good. The characters are smarter and funnier and wittier and awesome than I'd remembered. I try really hard not to fall into the character dislike, but after reading numerous amounts of fanfic, it happens. At least a little. Now all the characters are fresh in my mind and I adore them all.

It just so much fun to watch. I tend to only remember the dramatic parts and forget all the witty banter that keeps me giggling like a school girl.

Now on to "School Bad."

I am so in love. I haven't felt this way since Buffy. No, I don't love TWW more than Buffy, I just haven't gotten this "into" a TV show since Buffy. I cannot believe Phen told me I was going to find this show boring. Thank god for hollydb and ishtaritu who both assured me I would adore it, which I do.

I'm sitting here watching an episode and clapping at certain places. There are just so many great lines and well-developed characters. It's just wonderful.

I've totally fallen in love with Toby. He's kinda an asshole, yeah, but he's so adamant in his convictions and almost naive. He reminds me of me seven years ago...before I got jaded and apathetic. He stands by what he believes and let everyone knows about it. Even if he's not necessarily right. He's also willing to change his mind when the situation necessitates.

Also Leo. He is just so...wonderful. Such an inherently good guy. He rarely lets anyone or anything get in the way of his job.

Plus, there's...and...and...pretty much everyone. Especially C.J. She's the perfect press secretary. Well not perfect, but perfect in her imperfections. It sucks that I only have two more episodes before I'm out of them. I'm going to have to wait TWO days before I can get my fix. :( :( :(

Mind you, all of these [enter word I cannot, for the life of me, think of]* are based on the first season, so characters can always change.

Update: *observations

This is the fourth post of the day, although it's only the second since I woke up. Sassy's sleeping so soundly and I just couldn't resist taking a picture of her. Never mind the mess that is my bed; I have blankets from here to Timbuktu!

In other news, have sorta cleaned the kitchen, must go back and finish the job. Will likely touch up my nail polish when I finish. Five whole months of no fingernail biting! I am so proud of myself. :)

Ooh! Just got the notification that The West Wing has been shipped and will be here tomorrow. I'm so excited. Just what I need: yet another TV show to which to become addicted. First Psych, then NCIS (which ishtaritu is forcing me to watch and which is currently rocking my socks), and now there's a strong likelihood TWW will become another. I'm becoming a TV junkie.

I was in chat with hollydb who was discussing uploading icons w/o my knowledge (when she hijacked my computer). I told her it was perfectly okay as long as she didn't upload an "elizabuffy sucks...and not in the good way" icon. or a kennedy icon, in which case I'd have to defriend her on principle.

So, she made me this. As it contained both and was made out of love (so she said), I'm still keeping her on my flist. Plus I think the icon is cute AND v. appropriate at times, so it shall become a regular part of my icon repertoire.

What am I doing up? Well, after watching three consecutive eppies of Dead Like Me, a break to Starbucks, then a fourth episode, I pretty much passed out (I'd taken my meds just before the fourth eppie, and it made me groggy and slightly dizzy) at 10pm. Anyway, I'm now up and raring to go! Off to finish beta I started this evening before the mother/daughter TV-watching session.
